Make the most of the last of our warm weather! The St George Region is fortunate enough to have all of our towns located on a water source, providing water for agriculture, recreational opportunities, and serves as a habitat for a variety of flora and fauna. You can explore the river on a boat tour with Sandy Town River Cruises, kayak, canoe, go fishing- perhaps try your luck at the Dirranbandi Fishing Competition, water skiing, camping or enjoy a picnic on one of the riverbanks. Queensland Music Festival’s Outback Trail begins in St George, with the warm-up event held on Wednesday 12 April before the main acts, including Hussy Hicks, Karl S Williams and Jem Cassar-Daley, take to the stage on Thursday 13 April to belt it out on the Balonne for Oasis Afternoon. Market stalls, food options and a licensed bar – what more could you want to fill an afternoon and settle you into the evening?
