Easter is just around the corner, if you’re looking to hop out of the rabbit race, the St George Region is a fantastic destination. Here are some of the things you can do during Easter to keep the whole family happy.
Easter in the Vines
Hosting this free annual event, Riversands Wines offers an excellent opportunity to experience the region’s viticulture first-hand. You can explore the vineyards, taste the wines, enjoy a delicious BBQ and socialise with friends and family while listening to live music. There’s also a courtesy bus, kids’ activities and so much more.
Explore our rivers
Make the most of the last of our warm weather! The St George Region is fortunate enough to have all of our towns located on a water source, providing water for agriculture, recreational opportunities, and serves as a habitat for a variety of flora and fauna. You can explore the river on a boat tour with Sandy Town River Cruises, kayak, canoe, go fishing- perhaps try your luck at the Dirranbandi Fishing Competition, water skiing, camping or enjoy a picnic on one of the riverbanks. With a range of camping options and accommodation around the Region you’ll be sure to find something that suits.
Balonne Branch ASH Campdraft and Show
Why not have the ultimate Outback experience! Kids and adults alike will love seeing experienced talented horse riders kicking up the dust at the St George Showgrounds. Keep your tummy full and your whistle wet, with the canteen running all weekend and bar on Saturday.
